This is "Showered in Love".
It certainly has been awhile since I have played with Penny Black stamps, which you all know I love. So today it was time for a couple of bears to paint up and share.
For a bit of a change I am using Tim Holtz watercolour paper for this card, along with a Neenah card base and cardstock by Recollections to build my frame.
To watercolour the image I stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, then used distress inks to colour the flowers. I also used some of the distress inks on the bears.
To finish up the bears I used some Daniel Smith waterclours in the deeper brown tones, and for the background I used Daniel Smith Manganese Blue, which is a beautiful colour especially for backgrounds.
I let the piece dry completely, before putting it together. I had sprayed the front and back which allowed the paper to relax and lay flat, which is why it needed more time for drying.
Once dry I glued the watercolour piece to my card base using Art Glitter glue. I then glued together the frame by Impression Obsession, leaving the white shadow, and attached it to the card front, again using Art Glitter glue.
For the inside of the card I added a Hammermill piece of card and sponged on some Salty Ocean, which matches the Manganese Blue perfectly.
To finish I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Twilight and added a few Ombre gems from Pinkfresh Studios.
Such a sweet image makes for a sweet morning of card making. Thanks so much for dropping but.
See you next time.
Stunning and most exquisite design the bears are so adorable.. x
