Introducing "The Zest".
The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com has us visiting Primitives by Kathy for the challenge this week. You can also find them on Pinterest.
For my card I picked this kitchen towel as my inspiration.
First up, in my mini Misti I stamped the image by Avery Elle on Hammermill cardstock using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black ink. I then proceeded to colour using Copic markers, for the lemons Y02, Y06, Y13; the leaves YG21, YG13 and YG05 and for the flower centres I used Y15.
Using Gina K Design black cardstock I embossed my front panel using Altenew's Organic Linen 3D embossing folder, which I attached to my black card base, using the same cardstock along with foam tape.
I fussy cut the lemons and attached them to the card front using foam squares. On the inside of the card I cut some designer papers and attached using Art Glitter glue.
For my sentiment I stamped in my mini Misti using VersaMark embossing ink and heat embossed using Lawn Fawn embossing powder in white. I also stamped and fussy cut a smaller flower to attaach to my sentiment piece.
Using Ranger Pigment ink in Glacier White I went around the edges of the sentiment piece before gluing it in place.
To finish my card I added gems from Studio Katia around the card to mimic the white circles on my inspiration piece.
Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card, it sure was fun to make for a change.
See you next time.
