Meet "Abstract Design".
It is time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com, and today we viewed a video by Karen Rice which is about making Abstract watercolour.
Karen did several pieces of abstract designs separated by tape on a large piece of watercolour paper. I did not have much time so I opted to do just this one piece, as I knew it would take me longer than I expected it should.
I watched Karen's video, but I went my merry way with my piece. I was in the mood for some bright and happy colours, and took a leap by adding in some orange. I am using Arches cold press watercolour paper for this design.
I lack all the instruments Karen used in her vido, other than the credit card, which I did use. The rest I did with brushes in 3 sizes. You go with what you have eh?
I also changed up my watercolour choice by using my Kuretake Gasai Tambi set of watercolours, which has these delicious beautiful colours.
Once finished I glued the piece to a Neenah mini slimline card base.
I did consider a sentiment but opted to keep it clean. When I send it out I will add a sentiment on the inside.
Thank you for joining me today.
See you next time.
