Meet "Flower Power".
We are celebrating all week long over at Splitcoaststampers.com with Dare to Get Dirty. A week full of fun challenges put on by the Dirty Girl Alumni.
For this card I am using Neenah 110# cardstock for my base, along with Gina K Design Black Onyx cardstock for matting.
For my colour combination background I am using Hammermill cardstock, which I find takes the inks beautifully.
For the background I used distress oxide inks from the top down in Fossilized Amber, Ripe Persimmon and Candied Apple. I absolutely love this combination no matter the season, it works for all I think.
The flowers are by Tim Holtz which I stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocture. The sentiment strip, Hello Spring, is from Creative Expressions.
Oncce all the colour and stamping was complete I added water droplets to the background, and let them dry. I then added white watercolour splatters.
To the back of the sentiment strip I attached foam squares, then affixed the sentiment to my card. I thought about a few gems, but decided I liked the card as it was.
Thanks so much for dropping by today. I appreciate your support so very much.
See you next time.
