Meet "Use your Wings".
I am loving this embossing folder named From Land to Sea and the Red-Crowned Cranes dies by Altenew. They are so different from anything I have ever had before.
For this card I am using Aura cardstock in a pale blue, which I made both the base and the top panel from. I lightly spritzed the top panel and ran it through my Platinum machine to emboss. I prefer to use this machine for embossing as I like the results.
Seeing as I had this machine out, I die cut the pieces for the Crane's from White Neenah cardstock and proceeded to colour the pieces using Copic markers in R27, 100, E33 and C5.
For the waves I used Pinkfresh inks in Slumber, Blue Jay, Sapphire and Stargazer. I then used a white gel pen to add foam to the tips of the waves.
Using Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof White watercolour mixed with water I added splatters to the panel and set the panel aside to dry.
Once all was dry I attached the finished panel to my cardbase using Art Glitter glue. I also cut a piece of the blue along with a piece of Hammermill cardstock for the inside of the card.
To the card front I attached the Crane's using foam squares. I added a piece of Neenah cardstock behind the Tim Holtz sentiment to strengthen it before attaching to the card, again using foam squares.
I had fun making this card and can see all kinds of uses for these products. I hope you have enjoyed this card as well, and I thank you for spending some time with me today.
See you next time.
Great card Kia! Your waves look very realistic. Great idea to start with pale blue base and add color to it. I love every bit of this.
