This is "Watercolour Flowers"
It is time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com, and today we watched a video that I very much enjoyed by PaperWand Studio showing these flowers.
I very much enjoyed painting this little floral scene and highly recommend you take a go. My paper today is Tim Holtz Distress watercolour paper on the flip side, without the texture.
I started with the stems using Daniel Smith colours in Hooker's Green, Green Apatite Genuine and Serpentine Genuine.
For the flowers the first layer is Hansa Yellow, which I allowed to dry. I then added Quinacridone Rose over the yellow for the second coat.
I added splatters using Hansa Yellow and Green Apatite, along with ground colour using Raw Umber. To finish I added the "smile", my handwriting is large and I cannot seem to get it smaller!
I cut my piece to 3.75 x 5 and matted with brown, then attached to a green card base, both from Gina K. Designs.
Thank you for joining me today.
See you next time.
