Hello all! Welcome to today's hop where the team is highlighting Altenew products. We have a prize of a $50.00 Gift Certificate to the Scrap'n Stamp store for the winner of this hop. In order to be considered you must comment on each of the designers blogs who are participating today.
A list of those participating can be found at the end of this post.
For my card today I am using Altenew's Precious Peony along with Daniel Smith watercolours. I stamped the flowers on Arches cold press watercolour paper using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, which is watercolour safe ink.
I was in the mood to paint using many different colours, so I did. So many colours, such as Quinacridone Pink, Rhodonite Genuine, Ultramarine Violet, Phthalo Green, Green Apatite, Phthalo Turquoise, Phthalo Blue, Spring Green and Phthalo Yellow Green, Hansa Yellow and Naples Yellow.
When done with the flower painting I went around the outline of the stamp using French Ultramarine Blue, pulling the watercolour out as I went.
I then stamped the sentiment, which is from Altenew Dahlia Bright Eyes stamp set, using VersaFine Clair ink in Charming Pink.
Once the entire piece was totally dry, using Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof White watercolour I added splatters, some small, some larger, to the panel.
I then allowed the splatters to dry.
Using Art Glitter glue I attached the watercolour piece to my card base, which is a beautiful blue cardstock from Recollections.
To finish I added gems by Pinkfresh in Mauve and Pink.
Thanks so much for joining me. Following is the list of those participating in the hop. Up next is
