For Someone Special

 

This is "For Someone Special".

I did something a bit different while playing this morning. First I am using Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical Autumn Leaves powders for my card base. These are truly magical, the shimmer is stunning!

I spritzed water on my glass mat, then added the powder so it would not fly everywhere, and it would be easier to mix if necessary, then pounced my cardstock into the different colours, drying after each new colour addition.

The second technique I tried was to double emboss using a Gina K Design embossing folder, and a Sizzix embossing folder. I did the Gina K design first as it is a suble design and not a 3D, then did the Sizzix design as it is 3D.

It is a different look, but it works due to the colours and shimmer of the background. There was no need to do splatters, they magically appeared on their own.

Using Neenah cardstock I made my base mini slimline card, being 3.5x6 inch card. I then trimmed my panel to 3.25x5.75 and wrapped twine around the piece several times and tied with a bow.

I then added foam tape to the back of my inked piece and attached it to my card base. Using a ready made sentiment from Creative Expressions, I trimmed it to size and glued it in place using Art Glitter glue.

This completed the front of my card. For the inside I did a small piece using the pink powders and trimmed it to 1x3.25 inches and glued to a piece of 3.25x5.75 piece of card and glued this in place.

That finished this card, and I must say, I like all the texture and love all the colours.
