Harvest Happiness

 

This card is "Harvest Happiness".

A very easy and fun card to make using a new stamp by Penny Black called "Canopy". I am using Neenah 110lb cardstock for my cardbase and for the top layer. The sentiment is also from Penny Black's set called Always Thankful.

Using the top layer piece of cardstock and in my mini Misti I added colour via my distress ink cubes in Candied Apple, Scattered Straw, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry and Vintage Photo for the tree trunk, applying them to the stamp then spritzing with water and stamping.

I added a second coat to the stamp, using the same colours in pretty much the same areas and again spritzing with water. This is an old technique, but still so effective.

For the lawn I put down some Mowed Lawn and Scattered Straw on my glass mat and mixed them together and applying using my paint brush.

I then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Charming Pink.

To finish up on the inside of the card I added a panel piece cut to 4x5.25. I then applied tiny splatters using my small paint brush and the colours I used on the tree. I then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Glamorous.

I added a few gems by Pinkfresh in red and a pale pink.
