Meet "Christmas Mice".
I made this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com where we visited At Home. While looking through the site I found this tree, where the flare had me thinking of the stamp set I used.
I am using Honey Bee Stamps and Dies called Merry Little Mice for this mini Slimline card . I stamped the images I wanted to use with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, then proceeded to colour the pieces using Copic markers.
I used Gold Metallic marker for the ornaments on the tree and the Star, and for the one being held by the mouse. I used yellow glitter pen for the finial of the ornament and for the Garland.
The mice are coloured with Copic C1, C3 and RV02; the Tree is YG23, YG17, YG21; Tree trunk is E13 and E27; Scarf is RV00 and RV04. I added white gel pen to the ornament held by the mouse.
Once I finished colouring I die cut the pieces using the coordinating dies.
For the background I blended on Uncartered Mariner, Speckled Egg and Saltwater Taffy using Hammermill cardstock 100lb. The Hammermill is cut 1/4 inch smaller than the 3.5 inches of the card width, and the same height of 6 inches.
I then stamped the sentiment using Versamark Embossing ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn white embossing powder.
I fussy cut around the sentiment and attached it to the card front using thin foam squares.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card.
See you next time.
