If need be I will add shims when needed, which normally consist of one piece of Hammermill cardstock, which is 100#. It is rare that I need another shim.
To make the background I trim up my embossed piece then drag the ink lightly across the impressions, being sure to use a light touch. I am not concerned if I get extra ink on the card, it adds to the look.
For the leftover piece that I cut off from the 5.5 inch piece that I started with, I add this to a piece of Hammermill cardstock for inside my card.
For colouring of the Gnome I am using Copic markers as follows: Tree trunk E59, E74; Tree branches are G07 and YG25; Baubles and lights are RV06, YG05, BG11, R27, B02, R22, G02; Shoes 110; Fur B00, B01; Hat R27, R39; Beard C1, C3; Nose E42.
The sentiment is by Spellbinders called Christmas Sentiments, which I foiled with Turquoise foil using my Gemini Foiling Platform with Gemini Jr. machine.
To the background I added splatters of white shimmer using a mix of Perfect Pearls and water, which I have in a small bottle.
Once the card was dry I attached the Gnome using foam squares, then attached the sentiment using thin foam squares.
I so wish you could see the sparkle, it is so pretty. Thank you for your visit today.
See you next time.
