I admit, I love this stamp set by Art Impressions and so enjoyed painting this scene using paints from Daniel Smith, Winsor Newton and Schmincke watercolours.
For this piece I am using Arches Cold Pressed watercolour paper and before beginning the painting I die cut the watercolour paper using my Penny Black Elegant Stitching die.
In my mini Misti I then stamped the snowmen using Memento Ink in Flannel Gray and doing only one pass to keep the ink light.
Most of the Flannel Gray will be covered up by the painting, so I am not concerned. I started to build my scene by first watercolouring the background using Daniel Smith Manganese Blue. For grounding I added Phthalo Blue Green Shade.
Continuing on I used Phthalo Greens, Phthalo Turquoise, Pyrrol Scarlett, Alizarin Crimson and Winsor Newton Sap Green. The twig arms have Daniel Smith Burnt Umber and the buggy has Payne's Gray for the black trim and sled parts.
The vest on the first snowman was doing using Schmincke Cobalt Turquoise watercolour, which I also used for the highlights on the snowman.
For the nose on both of the snowmen I painted using Organic Vermillion. The Robin is painted using Burnt Umber and Alizarin Crimson.
I attached the finished panel to a Recollections card base using Art Glitter glue. To finish up the card I stamped the sentiment which comes from Stampers Anonymous.

See you next time.
