Jingle Bells

Meet "Jingle Bells".

I admit I love these Woodware stamps and can never say no when I see a really cute one. This mini Reindeer was one of those "too cute to pass up".
For this card I decided I would get out the watercolours. I am stamping on Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.

My watercolours are Winsor Newton Professional and Daniel Smith. Starting with the Reindeer I am using Burnt Umber mixed with a bit of Burnt Sienna and full Burnt Umber on the hooves.
For his antlers I used several layers of Burnt Umber to get that very dark colour. His nose is done using Cadmium Red Deep and his Bow Tie is Violet Dioxide.

For the background I used Violet Dioxide, probably one of my favourite colours, along with Schminckle Manga Violet shadowing under his hooves.

Using VersaFine Clair ink in Fantasia I stamped the sentiment along with the snowflakes. I then added Pinkfresh Jewel Refill pack in Lavender.

Instead of using cardstock to frame my scene I used ribbon and glued it on to the card, then glued in place the panel and added the gems. A nice change from cardstock.

On the inside of the card I applied the last bit of the ribbon and stamped a few snowflakes along with a Christmas Greeting from Picket Fence Studios called Inside Quotes Christmas.

I hope Rudolph gives you a little giggle today. Thank you for your visit.

See you next time.
