This is "Seasons Greetings in Blue".
This technique has been around for quite some time, but I think Christmas is the perfect time to use it. I started with my Altenew embossing folder Perfect Poinsettias.
Using my Platinum 6 I ran the folder through with the base plate, embossing folder with cardstock inside and 1 A plate. Then using a brayer I applied saturated layers of Versamark embossing ink to the embossing folder on the side that has the high parts of the folder.
I tried to make sure I had most of the embossing folder covered with the Versamark, then poured Brutus Monroe Fairy Dust embossing powder of the entire piece, which I had cut down to 4.x5.25.
I did not like the look of the largest leaf, it was too much, so swept most of the glitter off that area. I then went looking for bits to remove and bits to press into the detail. And yes, Fairy Dust was everywhere!
I heat embossed the piece to set the powder where I had left it. I expected the powder to again fly around, but it did not, it was securely in place.
When done with the embossing I glued the blue card piece to silver glitter cardstock. Finishing I glued the pieces to my A2 card base. As you can see slightly from this angle, I also decorated the inside using a left over piece of the embossing folder design and the silver cardstock, along with a sentiment matching the front sentiment.
I am very happy with how this card turned out, and I do hope you have enjoyed the process. Thank you for your visit today.
See you next time.
