This is "Deer Applique".
I cannot remember where this came from other than I think it was attached to a digital paper I bought quite some time ago. I thought it would be perfect for today's inspiration.
Today we are visiting Buttermilk Basin, which is such a fun store full of awesome fabrics and all things sewing. My inspiration came from this reindeer which is showing just the head as I have done.
I printed the image, then traced around the deer using my black micron pen. I did consider doing a blanket stitch, but I think it would have been too much, and it would also be time consuming.
The background has browns and greens in the paper pattern, which I think works well with the floral deer pattern paper.I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink, first stamping with "Charming Pink", and topping with Nocturne, which gives a lighter appearance to the black ink.
The image I printed came slightly larger than the card, so I used the excess inside the card, with another sentiment of thanks.
For the most part I usually cut paper for use inside my cards as I have always like the inside finished.
Thank you for visiting with me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card.
See you next time.
