This painting I did for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. I very much enjoyed painting this landscape, a nice a relaxing way to spend the morning.
My colours are mostly as the artist mentioned, being Cobalt Blue, Transparent Pyrrol Orange, Hansa Yellow. I also painted the tree trunk using Burnt Umber and Sepia, then added White Gouache splatters. While painting this I was thinking of the storms coming up the east coast, so I decided to add the wind into my painting, with it swirling around the tree and changing the colour of the tree as I mentioned above.
The smaller group of trees on the right side are done using the Pyrrol Transparent Orange and the Hansa Yellow.
I enjoyed painting this card, which was picked by today's hostess Brenda. You can find the tutorial here. Thanks so much for visiting.
See you next time.
