Bling

 

This is "Bling".

To bling or not to bling is something I ask myself every time I make a card. It used to be that I added bling to every card, but as we grow as cardmakers so do our designs.

When I first saw this stamp set I had a good giggle, so of course I had to have it. It is by Taylored Expressions and called Gus and Gertie Get Crafty.

I first inked up the stamp using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured the piece using Copic markers in W1 around the dogs collar area; E35 and E57 on the desk and Y04, Y08 on the bird.

I then coloured in the accessories using RV17, RV06, BV02 and V17.

Once the colouring was finished I die cut the scene using the coordinating die that comes with the stamp set and attached it to my Neenah cardbase using foam strips.

I stamped the sentiment using the Memento Ink and cut it out, adhering it with foam strips to the card front. 

To finish up I added Pinkfresh Glitter Drops in Pixie Dust around the design to finish.
