This card I made for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. Our hostess today is Stacy and she has picked this video for our inspiration.
I really liked the loops the artist drew, so did a pattern of my own, knowing full well I would not be able to do the kind of pattern the artist did exactly.
I used Daniel Smith and Winsor Newton watercolours to paint the design, using colours in the pinks, reds and purples.
Once finished I splattered the piece with white watercolour paint and when completely dry I fussy cut the heart out.
While my heart was drying I drew another heart on a 3.75x5.0 piece of watercolour paper and painted it in using Daniel Smith Pyrrol Scarlett.
When the piece was dry I folded the heart in half on both sides, leaving it slightly folded and glued it in place over the red heart using Art Glitter glue along the folded line.
I then drew the black line using my micron pen, and tied a bow which I glued to the black cord using twine.
I stamped the sentiment on a thin piece of watercolour paper using VersaFine Clair ink in Monarch, then attached it to foam strips before attaching it to my card front.
To finish I added a few gems in lavender, red and pink.
