Meet "Brighter Days".
This is a stamp set by Picket Fence Studios which is designed by Kelly Taylor called Brighter Days Gerbera Daisy and coordinating die. If you have not watched Kelly at work, you can find her here. She is an amazing colourist.
When I first saw the stamp I was thinking of all kinds of colours, like Gerbera Daisies in real life. They have glorious colours. In the end I went with yellow with a Salvaged Patina stenciled background.
The stencil is by A Colorful Life Designs and called Separate Ways. I used distress oxide ink in the Salvaged Patina for continuity in the background and did a piece for the inside of my card as well.
I stamped the Daisy in my Misti using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and for the colours of the Gerber Daisy I used on the flower Y18, Y19, Y08 and Y38; the leaves are YG45, YG05; Highlights E35, E27 and E39.
Using the coordinating die I die cut the flower, then separately stamped the sentiments using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, and die cut these with the coordinating dies.
To attach to my card I am using foam squares to add some dimension. I then added a bit of colour to the sentiment using the Salvaged Patina and added a coating of Micro Glaze to give some shine. I buffed the sentiment once dry then attached it using a foam square along with Art Glitter glue.
I originally had the colour on the sentiments too dark, which I then changed, gluing the new over the old.
For the inside I added the stenciled piece to my Misti and stamped the sentiment which is from Pinkfresh Designs and called Happy Vibes, again using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
I absolutely love the size of this Daisy, and look forward to using it many times in the future.
I hope you have enjoyed this card today as well, and I thank you for visiting.
See you next time.
