Meet "Fluttering".
I wanted to use this tiny brick stencil that I have had for ages. It is by Creative Expressions and part of their mini stencils called Brick Wall.
And I have had these butterfly sentiments for awhile now, so it was time to match them up and use a butterfly. For that I went to my Sizzix mini detailed butterflies.
I am on a roll with the "mini"! For the brick I wanted to use something with a lot of texture, and found that this Grit Paste in Snowfall was perfect.
I applied the Grit Paste and set the piece aside to dry, which took about 20 minutes or so. Once it was dry using a sponge dauber I applied Pinkfresh Ink in berrylicious.
I then die cut the butterflies. I did not have black paper handy and rather than move a bunch of stuff I die cut both the butterfly pieces from white Neenah card, and colourd the top butterfly with my Copic marker in 110.
For the bottom butterfly I mixed Pinkfresh Inks in Mermaid Cove and Emerald City, applying each of the colours using my Prism brushes. I love love these brushes, but they are only available in Canada - yay for me! lol
I glued the top of the butterfly to the butterfly bottom using Art Glitter glue.
To finish my card I ended up getting the black cardstock out after all, which is by Gina K Designs and called Black Onyx.
Using the sentiments I stamped with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, and trimmed the piece, then added black cardstock to mat then with Art Glitter glue I attached the sentiment to the card panel.
Finally I added a few black pearls to finish my card for today.
I hope you have enjoyed this card, and wish to thank you for visiting.
See you next time.
