Welcome to A Colorful Life Designs latest release. You will see from my cards that I had a great time with this release!
For my first card today I used stencils "Gate Open" and "Puppy Woof". The card is 5.5 square using a royal blue cardstock. I added a square of white glitter card which I had applied gold ink to. I then added the top piece, using the dog and the sentiment all done using Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch.
On the inside I used the "Woof" stencil, and again used the Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch distress oxide inks - so fun! To finish up I added a few gold gems by Pinkfresh.
Now that the dogs are out I can turn to the cats and let them out! This is "Cat Stretch". For colour I used distress oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Worn Lipstick.
I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. and did the border using Twisted Citron on Hammermill card.
For the inside of the card I spritzed with a bit more water on the stencil I used on the front and turned the stencil over on a piece of Hammermill cardstock, holding in place until the inks transfered.
I then stamped the sentiment which comes from the same set I used for the front of the card, being Pinkfresh Happy Vibes stamp and dies.
This card as another that was fun to make. I love the bright colours here, which are distress oxide inks in Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Salvaged Patina stenciled on a Neenah 110lb cardbase.
On my cardbase I used the Dotted Lines stencil along with the above colours. On a second piece of 3x3.5inch Hammermill cardstock I stenciled on the cat, using all the colours in the card background, then added a piece of Gina K Designs yellow cardstock on an angle and using foam tape to attach.
Using thin foam squares I attached the stenciled sentiment "I'm So Purrrfect".
This stencil is called Layered Heart Stencil. It too is a favourite, as I think it has many possibilities and is also so very pretty. For this card I used distress oxide inks in Ripe Persimmon, Squeezed Lemondade, Picked Raspberry and Lumberjack Plaid.
On the card inside I again spritzed the stencil and turned it over on Hammermill cardstock to transfer the impression. It is very pretty and so soft looking, I really like it. I stamped and die cut the sentiment on the cardfront using VersaFine Clair ink in Charming Pink and attached using foam tape.
For the inside of the card I stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Fantasia.
This stencil is "Classic Circus".
I have stenciled directly on my cardbase which is a Neenah 110lb cardbase using distress oxide inks in Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. On the inside I did not add extra water as I wanted the stenciling to show lighter. I like the sublte look.
I stamped the sentiment on the card front using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, and for the inside I used VersaFine Clair ink in Warm Breeze.
This is "Frolicking Dog".
This is a fun stencil top colour and is easy to use. I used Pinkfresh inks to colour the dog in Doe, Warm Buff and Gathered Twigs. For the florals around the dog I used Pinkfresh Emerald City and distress inks in Spiced Marmalade, Picked Rapsberry, Squeezed Lemonade and Barn Door. I added some Black Soot to the dogs nose and ears.
For his collar I used a gold glitter pen, and added dots in the centre of the flowers with the same pen.
Here I am using "One Dog" and "Big Bones". For colour I used distress oxide inks in Gathered Twigs, Tea Dye, Tattered Rose (Bones) and Gina K Designs Charcoal Brown.
I matted this card using brown cardstock on both the outside and inside of the card. I stenciled using the three different colours in order as follows: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and Gathered Twigs. For the Bones I only used the Tattered Rose.
This makes for a fun and easy card to put together.
On this card I am using "Cattitude" and "Meow" which is on the inside. I decided to keep it all in pink to represent a female kitty, being Kitsch Flamingo.
The cardstock is from Recollections, and the white cardstock is Hammermill 100lb. For a bit of sparkle I added a pink rhinestone as the cat's eye. This is a really simple card, yet one that I like very much.
For this card I am using Neenah cardstock. In a small cup I mixed together some Grit Paste with Tumbled Glass reinkder, mixing until smooth and applied it over the Kitty Heart Face stencil. I mixed it up until it was smooth then applied it using the Cattitude stencil.
I then stenciled part of the "Cattitude" sentiment on a piece of white Neenah card using Broken China distress oxide ink.
And my final card for today.
For this card I am using the Blazing Stars Stencil.
For a change I decided to use Stickles Glitter Gel Nebula for this card. It is a gel, which you can see in the mixture being the white part of the gel, with the gold stars mixed in.
Wish I could fill the star with the "stars", but that is sort of impossible.
Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed these cards using the new stencils. Don't forget to use my discount code when purchasing from the store which is KiaFan10.
See you next time.
