Meet "Stitched Medallion".
I did this card for the Inspiration challenge at Splitcoaststampers. As I did not have internet I could not blog about the card, but here it is today.
The die is by Spellbinders, and I must say it is such a pretty die when stitched. I used 3 strands of floss in varying shades for my design.
As tape would show through the intricate details I glued the strands in place using Art Glitter glue, which worked perfectly.
To complete the pattern I did a rose for the centre flower, dividing the circle into five areas. It is a small rose, but it still works for my design.
I then die cut the medallion shape using the coordinating die from glitter cardstock and attached it using a large foam round to the back of the medallion, under the rose and set the piece aside.
Using Neenah cardstock I cut a piece of card and embossed using my embossing folder by Altenew called Organic Linen.
I then cut a piece of the glitter card, which matched the card used for the medallion background. To put the card together I attached the glitter card to my Neenah cardbase, then attached the embossed piece using Art Glitter glue and the medallion using a foam round.
I am very happy with how this turned out, and it was fun to do. I have a few other stitching dies that I want to do soon, so more stitching cards to come.
Thanks so much for having a look today. I hope you have enjoyed this card.
See you next time.
