This is "Dot Flowers".
This is my watercolour card for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. We watched this video for inspiration and instructions.
I followed the instructions given by the artist for the flower. I did not want dark flowers and did not want mud either, so I used four different shades of pink, being Rose Madder, Opera Pink, Quinacridone Pink and Permanent Rose.
For the greens I used May Green with a bit of Sap Green. I also added a bit of Payne's Grey at the stem of the flowers.
Once I was done with the colours I set the piece aside to dry and when dry I added the ink using my Micron black pen. I also stamped the "hello" sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
I trimmed up the piece of card and matted using another piece of Arches watercolour paper. I then added a black frame to that and added another full piece of watercolour paper and applying all to a Gina K Design Black Onyx card base.
I used the same design on the inside of the card but using white Hammermill cardstock along with another sentiment from the My Favorite Flower stamp set.
I also used the Black Onyx cardstock on the inside.
That finishes my watercolour card for this challenge. This was such a fun technique to try out, and I would like to thank to Angela for this video.
See you next time.
