This is "Picked for You".
This is the first time in a long time that I applied inks to my embossed impression. Normally I would be colouring with Copic markers. A change is always good, eh?
I decided I would make a shaker card using the A2 Layer Shaker Pouch from Trinity Stamps. I love how easy these pouches make this process. Awesome and easy!
But I am getting ahead of myself. I first ran 2 pieces of 4x5.25" cardstock through my Spellbinders Platinum machine using Spellbinders embossing folder Flowers and Foliage.
I did buy the Universal Plate System which has made using this machine so easy! Love it! I then applied distress oxide inks in Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Saltwater Taffy and Frayed Burlap, along with some water droplets.
I also did a piece for inside the card using the same colours and embossing folder.
I then attached the shaker pouch to my A2 card base and attached the piece for the inside of the card in place.
On a separate piece of cardstock I applied the Dried Marigold on one side and the Saltwater Taffy on the other side, then stamped the sentiments from Honey Bee My Favorite Flower stamp and die set, and heat embossed using white embossing powder,
I used the coordinating dies to cut the sentiments and attached them in place on the card front and the inside of the card.
I really like how this card turned out, and I hope you do as well.
Thanks so much for visiting.
