Pom Pom

This is "Pom Pom Dahlia".

Such a pretty flower designed by Spellbinders. My friend Joyce and I got together to make these flowers yesterday, each of us making 3 each as shown above.

We had a lot of laughs through this process but we got the flowers made. Joyce used a toothpick to mold her flowers and I used reverse tweezers.

I also bought origami paper to use for these flowers as you want something that is light in weight. The package I bought had 20 different paper colours.

Needless to say we were pretty pleased with ourselves when we finished making the flowers, and considering they are time consuming we spent 3 hours which included a lunch break!

For the background I used Spellbinders Leafy embossing folder. This folder can make up to a 5.5 x 8.5 design, which is what I made, cutting it in half and trimming for the front of the card and inside the card.

For the sentiments I used my favorite stamp and die set by Honey Bee called My Favorite Flower and stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.

On the inside of the card I used another one of the sentiments from the same set.

Take time to smell the flowers, something I always do these days! I hope you have time to spend in your garden too.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card which was fun to make.

See you next time.
