Be Bold

This is "Be Bold".

I was looking forward to doing this card and yesterday my friend Joyce was over, so we both decided we would like to give it a try, and we wanted to use coloured cardstock, which is unusal for me!

Yes, there is a lot of cutting and sorting. We decided for our first card we would follow the pattern given on the front of the packaging. I find this gives me a sense of the die cuts and what is required.

To all of the die cuts we styled the paper using the large and medium stylist, and a few times the smaller ball which helped with the tiny flowers.

For the flower centres I coloured with Copic Y28 then added Nuvo glitter gloss to give a shiny look. On the stem of the turquoise plan I added tiny brown pearls.

Some of the die cuts are on regular size foam dots and others are on thin foam dots, while a few have been styled into shape and glued direct to paper.

I used a mix of cardstock from Gina K Designs and Spellbinders. As most of you know I am a fan of colour, so making this card was a lot of fun, and yes a lot of die cutting.

But I would say it is worth the effort, expecially if you have a friend with you.

On the inside I decided to add a stencil which is by A Colorful Life Design and called Lotus Repeat. I stenciled using Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink.

For the sentiment I used die cuts from Spellbinders Serenade Sentiments which I cut 2 from the same paper as the largest flower on the card, and the base I die cut in the pale pink cardstock.

And finally a whole lot of gems from Pinkfresh!

Thank you for joining me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card along with all the sparkle.
