Christmas in July with Scrapn Stamp

Welcome to the Scrap'n Stamp hop for "Christmas in July". First I will mention that this is a prize drawing with a $50.00 gift card to the Scrap'n Stamp store. The names will be taken by those who leave comments on the designers posts.

The drawing will take place on the last Tuesday of the month.

Back to my card for today. For the background I used an older stamp which is called "Snowflake Medley". I made two backgrounds, one for the front of my card and one for the inside.

I stamped with Versamark embossing ink and used Nuvo "Snow Crystal" to heat emboss the image.

I then stamped the Penny Black image called "Cozy Wishes" using my mini Misti and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then coloured the image with Copic markers in YG45, YG63; C8, C9; B0000; E33, E27; R29, R37 and YR18.

I then fussy cut the snow couple out and set it aside.

For my cover sentiment I die cut the Penny Black "Joy edger" twice and glued them together. Normally I would cut three of the dies and glue them together, but I did not want that extra height that would give.

I also stamped and fussy cut the tiny bird on the right snow person, whom I call the lady snow person. I then put the card together, gluing the background to the card front, then attaching the the snow people using foam squares. I glued the Joy edger in place and added the gems.

For the inside sentiment I stamped using a Woodware Christmas sentiment using Memento Ink in Rhubarb Stalk.

I also edged around the fur of the hats and the sides of the snow people using the B0000 Copic marker, then went over the copic colour using Nuvo Glitter Gloss.

Thanks so much for visiting.
