Lost and Found

Meet "Lost and Found".

You all know how we like to keep our craft space up to snuff! It is quite the chore to keep up with the never ending cleaning that comes with a craft room.

Yesterday I decided it was time to pull out my tall cabinets which flank my back wall. Usually I only pull them out enough for me to take a duster to the back and the floor part, then push them back in place.

They are heavy puppies. In any event low and behold when I pulled them out there was a Spellbinders die package and in that package were these dies. This set is old, so clearly the set has been their awhile.

I looked at my blog and I have never used the set, so that is a disappointment and a waste of money needless to say. But I decided I would rectify the problem by making a card straight away and upload it to my blog, old dies or not!

I die cut three each of the flowers included in the set. Using my Prism Studio blending brushes I coloured the flowers using Distress Oxide inks in Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers. For the top floral piece I used Squeezed Lemonade and when finished I glued the sets together.

Using Hammermaill cardstock I embossed two sheets of card using Honey Bee's Spring Medley embossing folder and attached them to the front of my Neenah cardbase as well as inside the card using Art Glitter glue.

I then styled and attached the flowers, again using Art Glitter glue. I stamped the sentiments and cut/die cut them out, attaching to the front of the card adding another sentiment inside the card which was cut with the coordinating dies.

I just noticed that I failed to do the edging on the die above. Dang it all! I will die cut another one and glue over it with the yellow included.

So, that is the story of a lost die set. But, I did have a good time making this card today, so all was not lost.

See you next time.
