This is "Merry Christmas".
I made this card for today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. My inspiration came from this picture.
My card base is Neenah 110lb cardstock and for layering I use Hammermill 100lb cardstock which is what I have used on this card.
I first made my card base, then cut the Hammermill paper 1/4 inch smaller, making it good for layering of this card.
Using the Neenah cardstock I die cut the star, which is by My Favorite Things and is an older die. I do have other "star" dies, but they are not "straight" instead they lean downwards.
The trees are stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, then coloured in with a Sharpie Fine Point marker. They are from Studio Katia's old set called Holiday Village.
I stamped on the "star" a Merry Christmas sentiment which is from "Say it with Stamps" called Holiday Wreath, with coordinating dies.
I attached the star to the cardbase using foam tape then along the edges of the star I added Nuvo Glitter Gloass for some sparkle, which does not show unfortunately.
I had fun making this Clean and Simple card today. I should really do more of this style as I do like this type.
I hope you enjoyed this card as well, and thank you for visiting with me today.
See you next time.
