Welcome to the latest release from A Colorful Life Designs. There are many styles of stencil to choose from and the team has many cards to inspire!
For my first card I am using Alternating Squares stencil. To colour I used Distress Oxide inks in Kitsch Flamingo, Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade. On many of the cards the inside is done using the same stencil where I spritz with water and turn the stencil over on white cardstock transferring the ink to make the inside design, which is what I have done here.
This stencil is "Big and Little Lines". It just felt like these Distress Oxide colours worked perfectly with this design. The colours are Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stain.
I went around the edges of the card panels using Copic E79 and added splatters to the card front using Antique Linen ink mixed with water. Once dry I stamped the sentiments using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
I love this stencil which is called "Jigsaw". It plays perfectly with lots of Distress Oxide colours as I have used here being Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn, Faded Jeans and Twisted Citron. I stamped, coloured and die cut the Bear which is by Colorado Craft Company
On the inside I did a partial page using the stencil and added the little stamped and die cut leaf along with the sentiment from the same Colorado Craft set.
This stencil is "Slanted Angels".
I used the stencil a bit differently in that I put down the first layer of Oxide ink colour being Scattered Straw. I then shifted the stencil to the right and applied Ripe Persimmon. Then a shift downwards and added Spun Sugar.
I matted the piece with black card, added the sentiment and butterfly using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne along with A Colorful Life Designs sequins. I finished by mounting the card on a Taylored Expressions card base in Guava.
Here we have "Marching Band". I was ecstatic with the number of colours I could fit on this card using this stencil. Six colours plus VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne for the sentiment.
The other colours are Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Lucky Clover, Faded Jeans, Evergreen Bough, Salvaged Patina and Broken China. I die cut the piece using a Penny Black die and attached to a piece of card where I had added Broken China.
This stencil is "Twisty Grid". My colours for this stencil are Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch. I added white acrylic splatters to the card front and once dry stamped with a sentiment from Avery Elle.
For the inside I spritzed the stencil and wiggled it back and forth then put cardstock down on the inked side for my impression. When dry I finished by stamping the sentiment, also from Avery Elle, using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
Meet "Rendom Triangles". Another stencil that I had a lot of fun with and I love the triangles too! I used my Pinkfresh inks for this stencil which gives me a lot more colours to pick from, being different colours of pinks, mauve and reds. I stamped the sentiment on the front which is from Avery Elle using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
For the inside I added a row of triangles to the left side, again using Pinkfresh inks. I have not added a sentiment as I am not sure what I will use the card for yet.
This stencil is "Bound Boxes". Such a fun stencil, which again invites for all kinds of colours. I used Distress Oxides in Wild Honey, Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade and Saltwater Taffy.
While still wet I dragged the inks from the boxes on the front of the stencil, and on the inside I spritzed with a mixture of perfect pearls and water, then added inks to the edge of the card with Kitsch Flamingo making sure NOT be careful! lol. I finished with the sentiments stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne along with Pinkfresh stamps.
Here, I am using "Linear Lines" stencil along with Distress Oxide inks in Prize Ribbon, Peacock Feathers and Squeezed Lemonade distress oxide inks. For the inside I did my usual inking technique with water, which I did not photograph. The flower is from Atenew which I stamped using Make Art inks in Sunflower and Leaf Green.
This stencil is "Changing Triangles".
I have a thing for all things Birds and Koala Bears. I cannot get enough of either of them. So another sweet Bear to enjoy by Scrapbook.com which was a freebie, bonus!. This stencil again allows for many colours and here I have used my Pinkfresh inks in Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine, Mermaid Cove and Tidal Pond.
And my last card to share with you today this is "Parasois" stencil which again has many uses. I started with a 5x5 card size using Distress Oxide inks in Salvaged Patina, Rustic Wilderness, Evergreen Bough, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron. When finished with applying the colours I spritzed with Distress Spritz in Twisted Citron. Once dry I stamped with the sentiments which are by Pinkfresh Studios using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
