Meet Autumn Blooms.
I made this card in hopes that having it displayed will help keep me cool during the coming days of depressing heat! I am not fond of summer, I am a Autumn girl!
I do love the colour of the background which is Four Petal Floral embossing folder by Spellbinders. I thought it perfect for my layout.
Once I ran the folder through my embossing machine I applied a heavy layer of Ripe Persimmon distress oxide ink to the edges of the card where the embossing was, leaving the centre clean.
I used Copics to colour the die cut flowers, which are by Spellbinders and called Little Blooms. The colours are YR07, YR09, YR16, YR18;R24; G07, G05; YR23; E93 and 100.
I arranged the flowers using foam squares to apply some of them, and for other I used Art Glitter glue, which adds more dimenstion.
I am annoyed at myself as I can see spots where I did not go around the flower or leaf edges with the marker. They stand out like a sore thumb! It is usually something I make sure I do, but clearly I missed some!
I used the same embossing folder for the inside of my card along with the Ripe Persimmon distress oxide ink..
I also added a few flowers to finish along with the sentiment which is by Penny Black and called Always Thankful.
Thank you for joining me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card.
See you next time.
