Celebrate

This is "Celebrate".

I was very happy when these came in the post this past week as I have been looking forward to playing with them. I had a  lot of fun as I think you can see.

The stamp set and coordinating dies are by Pinkfresh and called Joyful Day. The frame is a Betterpress Frame called Decorative Frames and cutting dies, also by Pinkfresh. I started stamping the leaves I would need using Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves.

I made this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com using this magazine cover as my inspiration.

Some time ago when Spellbinders came out with the Universal Plate System for Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine I bought them. Having these plates has allowed me to use the Betterpress plates, such as the ones I have used for the card above.

If you have this machine and the Universal System the plates I used are:  Platform Base, Adapter Plate, die facing up, cardstock and cutting plate. You can click on the above picture to open a larger view. I did cut my paper larger than needed and taped it down as the plate itself is slippery.

I started with the Decorative Frames set inking up the full plate using Catherine Pooler ink in Uptown. You don't have to ink up the full set, it was my choice to do so as I planned on using the full set.

I attached the die cut to a piece of  Hammermill cardstock, and attached all to a Gina K Designs Wild Lilac card base. In my mini Misti I stamped the leaf set and coloured the using Copic markers as follows: V17, BG49, BG09, YR09 and YR68.

I die cut the leaves using the coordinating dies and then stamped and die cut the matching sentiments. I attached the celebrate to the front of the card using Art Glitter glue.

On the inside on Hammermill cardstock I added the remainder of the inked dies. When doing the card front I stamped and die cut another leaf branch to use on the inside, colouring with the same Copic colours. I also stamped and die cut the coordinating sentiment to the front sentiment and glued in place using Art Glitter glue.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card.

See you next time.
