Well, I did it!

I got myself a Betterpress Letterpress system. I decided I would use my points to buy it, so I collected gift cards for close to the amount of the press and waited. It finally arrived on Wednesday.

This image comes with the machine, so I decided I would watercolour my first made card. I transferred the image on to Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper using the black in that came with the machine.

I then proceeded to watercolour using Daniel Smith watercolours. The sentiment was impressed at the same time as the floral.

I wish you could see how the impression really imbeds itself into the paper almost! It is amazing the detail that comes from this system.

I added splatters of white paint, and some ended up being bigger than I anticipated! Like what is up with a small brush making big splashes?

In any event, I do like this system and am pleased that I bought it. And I am very pleased that I bought it with points!
