This is "Flower Power".
I was in the mood to get out of my comfort zone and do something wild and crazy. The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers found me a way to do that.
While browsing through the Inspiration Site today I found this on their Pinterest site. I decided I would go for it. For the flowers I used dies from a Spellbinder set called Vintage Florals.
I die cut all the pieces I would need using white Neenah card stock. Once I had all the pieces cut I started to colour them using Copic markers.
The Copic colours are: R12, RV04, V04, B18, BG57, B05, 110 and C1. Some of the pieces I coloured in, such as the black leaves and the grey leaves. The Violet wisps are also done with markers.
A couple of the leaves I also drew in for lack of room for the die cuts. I suppose I could have hauled out another die set, but I did not want anything more on my desk!
I also added the black dots in the flower centres using Copic marker. Where the fabric has berries I used a long leaf instead.
It was nice to get out of my comfort zone for a few hours and do this card.
As for the inside, no I don't like it. Too flat - so I will change it up and add an embossing folder design, then re-attach the flowers and sentiment.
The hello does add dimension as it is three of the die's glued together.
Thanks for visiting with me today.
See you next time.
