Poinsettia Christmas

This is "Poinsettia Christmas".

This card is for today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com which I am hosting. I have picked "Quiet Joy at Home" for this week's challenge. They also have a "Pinterest" page which is what I used to gather my pictures for this challenge.

The inspiration for my card came from this pin, which I think is so beautiful. I would love to have this on my front door at Christmas.

Although it does not show up well, I have used two ink colours to ink up this Poinsettia embossing folder by Altenew which are Barn Door and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Inks which I inked on the embossing folder, then added the card stock and ran it through my Platinum machine.

I again inked up the folder using the same inks and ran the second piece through my Platinum machine for the inside of the card.

I attached both pieces using Art Glitter glue to a Gina K Designs card base in Red Hot. I then die cut the falala die from the same colour of card stock three times, gluing the words together and gluing to the front of my card.

I then applied some Midas Touch Shimmer to the sentiment, which shows up beautifully in the room, but picture wise, not so much!

They don't seem to make the Midas Touch anymore which I will never understand as I found it to be one of the best products I had used. Thankfully I bought two before I found out it was discontinued.

As you can see from this picture, the glimmer shows up better and there is a peek at the inside of the card as well. I have not put the sentiment in but I think I will use this Merry Christmas.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card.

See you next time.
