Warm Hugs

This is "Warn Hugs".

Of course that sentence has me laughing, I can't say a hug from a mouse would be warm! Only from these cute critters could it be possible.

This stamp set is by Spellbinders - House-Mouse and called "Hot Cocoa Day". I do have to say I very much enjoyed the relaxing time I had in colouring this image.

I made my snow blue, I mean who is going to see white snow on a white background eh? So blue it is. The mice are grey, brown and black done by flicking tiny strokes of ink, so it is a bit time consuming.

The few Copic colours I used are C3; E17, E25. The balance of markers are both Tombow and Marvy markers. The blue for the snowfall is done with a Marvy marker #60 Salvia Blue.

The skin of the mice is done with Tombow #850 and the mugs are Tombow #856 for the red, and #245 for the green with the blue done using a Marvy marker #10.

And in finishing with the scene, the window casing and trim are done using #13 Ochre and #90 Suede.

I think it was the switching up of markers that made this card so fun to do. The stamp is a mounted rubber stamp, so each piece is easy to colour differently than the next using water based markers such as Tombow or Marvy.

I did not use the Copic markers except on the woodwork and the first mouse, which is the C3 and the black is done with a Micron black pen.

The inside of the card is very simple, stamped in the same colour as the sentiment on the front which is VersaFine Clair ink in Paradise.

Thanks so much for your visit today.

See you next time.
