Today for Watercolour Wednesday I am hosting and have picked this video to view. This artist is a favourite for me, and she has not been posting for some time, so it is nice to have her back.
I started by tracing the floral on to Arches cold press watercolour paper, then added Winsor Newton Permanent Masking Medium.
The leaves are not to my liking, there is always something I don't like on my paintings. Anyway, I painted the leaves using Sap Green along with a bit of Apatite Green.
I then moved on to the flower centre and painted using Daniel Smith colours in Lemon Yellow and Cadmium Yellow.
And for the flowers I did start with the yellow, but my orange, which is Schmencke Transparent Orange sort of took over, but I still like it.
I noticed that the artist added more to her bookmark, but I liked it as it is, so left mine as is.
I filled in the background using Daniel Smith Manganese Blue to finish.
Thanks so much for visiting with me today.
See you next time.
