Baby Elephant

Meet "Baby Elephant".

I made this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. We are visiting PosterStore.com today for our inspiration.

My inspiration came from this poster, which is so cute. I also happen to have cute elephants that I bought some time ago and have never used until today.

As it turns out the company I bought these from has rebranded and are now known as CraftStampco, You can find the elehphant stamps using that link.

My card is 4.25 x 4.25" square. A baby card for a baby elephant! I used Moonlite Fog cardstock along with Passionate Pink cardstock. I am also using Arches cold press watercolour paper.

I watercoloured using Winsor Newton watercolours in Payne's Gray, Permanent Rose, Sap Green, Dioxazine Purple and Cadmium Yellow.

Under the elephant I added Sap Green representing grass for the little one to sit on. I did a small sampling of the grass to be sure it would still please the eye.

I also painted in the toenails using the Payne's Gray in a dark shade.

I stamped the simple sentiment inside until I know the babies gender, then I will add the rest of the sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card.

See you next time.
