Father Christmas

Meet "Father Christmas".

This card comes from a free gift I received when I purchased from Scrapbook.com. As it ended up I recived two of them, and they are full of scenes that would make fabulous cards. So I made one to share with you. The paper pack is called Christmas Rose.

The card is a 5.0" x 5.5" tent fold card and the paper pad is 6"x6" paper, so I did some surgery here and there. Important to me was to capture the image of Father Christmas along with the flowers.

I am using a Neenah card base along with Gina K Designs cardstock in Red Hot for accent pieces. I die cut the oval shape using my Spellbinders Essential Stylish Ovals and cut out Father Christmas using a smaller oval shape.

While cutting I die cut another red oval to use inside the card along with the sentiment which is by Scrapbook.com called Happy Holidays Christmas Sentiments ll

The sentiment comes with the background dies which I cut using Vellum.

The designer paper comes with the splatter, which saves me from having to do it. Funny how they seem to get the amount needed perfectly.

Moving to the inside of the card I too did some surgery.

I added strips to the sides as I did not want to cut another piece. The strips are from paper I cut off from the front of the card, and I think it still works.

Thanks so much for your visit today. I do hope you enjoy this card, and hope you will look at your paper packs to see what you have to make an easy card.

See you next time.
