Joy filled Christmas

 This is "Joy filled Christmas".

I could not wait to get this stamp set from Spellbinders for Simon Hurley called Playful Penguins. Too cute for words! There are three penguins in the set, all different showing off their personalities!
This cutie Penguin with the antlers was my first choice to colour up. I die cut all the pieces from Neenah cardstock as I wanted them thicker than normal.

I then coloured using Copic markers using 110, Y35, YR68 and R83. I set the Penguin aside and cut a piece of Hammermill cardstock for my background adding colour with distress oxide inks in Crackling Campfire, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey.

While I had my colours out I also did a piece for the inside of my card using the same colours of distress oxide inks.

I then die cut the snowflake by Waffle Flower and called Winter Crystal die, building it up a bit with an extra layer. I also cut a piece of vellum to use behind the snowflake. I made two of these snowflakes, the other being for the card inside.

As I was laying out the design on my card front I saw the circle that I had cut out for something else, but did not use so I added it to the mix and liked the look, and used it, attaching it to the card front using foam strips.

Within the circle I then added splatters of water, which show in the background. I then glued in place the snowflake using Art Glitter glue and added the Penguin using foam squares.

On the inside I added the distress oxide panel, then glued in place the snowflake. I stamped the Christmas sentiment which is from Hero Arts Joyful Chrismtas Messages stamps and dies using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.

To finish I added the strip, stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Tulip Red and glued in place using Art Glitter glue.

I hope you have enjoyed this card today, and thank you for visiting.

See you next time.
