Poinsettia in White

Meet "White Poinsettia".

I am very pleased with how this turned out. I always make a few Christmas cards where I use non-traditional colours, and this is one of those.

(I apologize for the delay with this post. At blogger they have a program that is run by AI which checks each post. What happened today is that they just left it there without processing, hence hanging me out to dry. So I wrote up a second post.)

For the flower I used Sizzix Tim Holtz Holiday Brushstoke dies. The embossing folder is Spellbinders Evergreen where I used Pinkfresh Ink Turquoise along with Pinkfresh Ink in Grassy Knoll.

I trimmed the embossing folder to 5.25x4.0 and glued it in place using Art Glitter glue, doing the same for the piece that I made for the inside of the card.

I die cut all of the pieces using Hammermill 100lb cardstock and coloured using inks and a Copic marker on the flower using E40 and Y26.

I had the sentiments in my stash from a previous foiling session I did. I need to do another one to get ready for this coming season.

The ink colours on the greenery are Pinkfresh in EucalyptusOliveEvergreen, and Sage. The brown is from Gina K. Designs ink in Warm Cocoa.

To finish the front of the card I added a few Ocean Breeze gems from Pinkfresh.

Here you can see the Turquoise and Grassy Knoll inks much better, So pretty together.

I do hope you have enjoyed my card for today, and thank you for visiting.

See you next time.
