Meet "Christmas Spruce".
You may recall that I used this embossing folder, called Holly and Foliage by Spellbinders, to make a card a few days ago, where I coloured the reverse side of the folder.
For my card today I thought I would use a different colour for the background, but keep it in the green family. I picked Spruce Tips for colour, but kept the berries red.
I coloured the berries with Copics before applying the green to the background. This way I could apply the ink over the berries and it would not affect the colour.
I did however apply Nuvo Shimmer Gloss over the berries to give them some sparkle as well as have them stand out a little more.
For my sentiment in my mini Misti on Neenah cardstock I stamped the sentiment by Hero Arts using Pinkfresh Ink in Candy Apple.
Using the coordinating dies I die cut the sentiment out. I then attached the green panel to my Gina K Design Red Velvet cardbase.
Using foam strips I attached the sentiment.
I have not done the inside as yet, not sure what I am going to do for that. Maybe just half of the embossed folder along with a sentiment.
Thanks for joining me today.
See you next time.
