Friendships

 

This is "Friendships".

This die set is by Spellbinders for the Small Die Set of the Month club. As I have previously mentioned, I have a membership with Spellbinders to receive these dies monthly.  What is not to love about this set?

For my background I used papers from Lawn Fawn's designer paper Starry Skies. I also used the coordinating paper on the inside of my card.

I die cut the pieces using coloured cardstock for the sweather. For the balance of cuts I die cut using Hammermill cardstock in white and coloured where needed using Copic markers, being 100 for the black on the Penguin and C2 for the grey colours..

For the Penguins feet and nose I used YR18. The star is Y26 and his cheeks are RV11. I cut out foam and attached it to the back of the bear using Art Glitter glue which props the bear up.

For the stringed lights I used black #100 to colour the wiring. I then glued in place the lights which are die cut from white glitter cardstock.

To keep the lights in place I glued the right side of the lights to the back of the bear, which helps them to look suspended. I did the same with the small set of lights at the top of the bear.

For the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Charming Pink. It looks rather bare inside the card so I think I will add another Penguin inside.
