Holly and Foliage

Meet "Holly and Foliage".

This is such a beautiful embossing folder, which has many uses beyond the Joseph's Coat technique that I have done here.

For this card I worked on the reverse side of the embossed piece of cardstock, colouring in using Pinkfresh Inks in Grassy Knoll, Evergreen, Candy Apple and Mulberry Blush.

For the Joseph's Coat I used VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. As you can see, I was not careful with the Nocturne, and I really like the different look.

It did take a few applications of the Nocturne ink to cover the area needed and I still had a few spots that appear to have the white cardstock peeking through.

But it contributes to the look in my humble opinion!

The Mulberry is that bit of pink showing on the berries as a higlight. I also applied Nuvo Aqua Shimmer to the finished betteries.

Also, after the application of the Nocturne ink I buffed the card to "clean it up" a tad.

On the inside I added a piece of black cardstock at 4.x5.25, then added the border piece of the pattern. And to finish I added the sentiment which is by Picket Fence Studios.

Thanks so much for dropping by.

See you next time.
