This is "Joyful Candy Canes".
This embossing folder is from Spellbinders for the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month Club, for October 2024. Isn't it beautiful!
I knew immediately that I would use red for this embossing folder and part of the reason is because of the Candy Canes, but also due to the Poinsettia.
My panel is Hammermill cardstock and my base card is Gina K Design card base in Red Hot cardstock.
I first added the Candy Apple ink all over the card. I then added the other colours of Berrylicious, Mulberry Blush and Espresso, but kept them to the outer edges of the card panel.
To achieve the white Poinsettias, on my glass mat I put down a fair amount of Bee Creative Pigment white ink, then picked the ink up with my small brush and applied. I repeated this until I felt there was enough ink in the flowers.
I added the pigment ink to the candy canes, but not as much as I did not want to bring too much attention to them.
Once the pigment ink was applied I added Wink of Stella to the Poinsettia' to add some shimmer. It is very pretty IRL! And I finished with splatters.
For the inside of my card I applied the inks to the wrong side of the embossing folder, adding the inks in the same order as I did for the card front. I also added more splatters.
I then stamped and die cut the sentiment, stacking it x3 for some dimension inside the card and adding pigment ink to the flowers once again. I also added a spattering of red gems by Pinkfresh.
Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I appreciate it and I hope you enjoy this card.
See you next time.
