Meet "Merry Christmas Bears".
This is suc a sweet stamp set by Penny Black called Christmas Comfort, and I very much enjoyed watercolouring it today. I used Daniel Smith watercolours, stamping on Arches Cold Press watercolour paper.
I stuck with the reds, pinks, browns and gold colours. Manganese Blue is what I painted the "snow" features with, including the ground cover.
The bears are a mix of Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna, with faces red from the cold, using Quinacridone Pink along with Burnt Sienna.
The bench is done using Payne's Grey representing rod iron. The gifts are done using a watered down Spring Green along with Quinacridone Gold and Quinacridone Red.
The Holly leaves on both sides of the card are done using Quinacridone Red berries and Serpentine Green.
I stamped the trees using VersaFine Clair ink in Pinecone on the Arches Cold Press watercolour paper. I then used my Daniel Smith watercolours and a size 4 paintbrush to paint.
The bears are stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, and painted with Daniel Smith watercolours.
I fussy cut out the bears, the gifts and the holly on the left side, propping the bears on regular size foam squares and the holly and gifts on thin foam squares.
And I did some splatters to finish the card off.
Thanks so much for visiting with me and I do hope you have enjoyed today's card.
See you next time.
