Meet "Poinsettia Flower".
I wanted to do something a bit different today. With all the Christmas cards sometimes I think it might all get boring for all of you.
The background is from my stash, one that I did a few months ago using Pinkfresh Geo Arch Foil Plate, which also comes with the stencils. I did not use the stencils however, as I made my background in the white with gold foil.
I then moved on to the Poinsettia Flower. I die cut the flower from a background I did a long time ago where I used watercolour with a stamp and white embossing powder to make the pattern.
I die cut 2 layers of the patterned piece with the large poinsettia die and 1 layer using green cardstock. I then die cut 1 of the smaller flower die and one each of the centre pieces in the pattern.
To the tips of the green cardstock I added Bright Yellow Green Pan Pastel which you can sort of see on the tips of the leaves. I put together the flower and as I did I was styling the flowers with my sylist. I also had watercoloured the back of the flowers.
To the tips of the centre pieces I added Pops of Color to both sides and patiently waited for it to dry. I then styled the centre pieces and affixed using Art Glitter glue.
For the inside of my card I used another background that I had previously made in greens and blues. I applied a layer of Paper Glitz in Sparkle.
I added the sentiments which are from Hero Arts using their Joyful Christmas Messages stamps and die set. I also added a signature piece as the paper glitz makes signing the card a bit difficult!
I very much enjoyed making this card today, and I do hope you have enjoyed it as well.
Thanks so much for visiting.
See you next time.
