The Joy of Skating

 

This is "The Joy of Skating".

I have not used this stamp by Penny Black in a very long time, but today seemed like the perfect opportunity. She is called Seasonal Skater and I am making her for the Inspiration Challenge this week.

Once again I took imspiration from these little "skaters", and their colours. I water coloured this image using Daniel Smith watercolours. 

My colours are Daniel Smith in Permanent Red, Spring Green, Phthalo Turquoise and a Red Glitter pen.

Minimal colours but I think they are so sweet together, and I hope you agree. I added the splatters to the card to finish. They are the same colour as the Seasons Greetings colour which is Daneil Smith Phthalo Turquoise.

Also, the gloves are the same colour that I used on the skirt, just watered down a bit.

My watercolour paper is Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper added to a Gina K Design cardstock in Red Hot.

I used Art Glitter glue to adhere my panel to the card base.

I am again using Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper. I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Tulip Red. I added the holly and watercoloured with the darker green and red.
