A Little Birdie

 

Meet "A Little Birdie".

This is the third image from the Colorado Craft Company Christmas Presents stamp set. I think this is the first time I have used all the stamps on cards at the same time. So often I use one, but not usually all.

I stamped on Arches cold press watercolour paper using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, which is my go to ink for watercolouring. 

I watercoloured using Daniel Smith watercolours in bright colours for added interest. Although it is hard to see I did apply Winsor Newton Acrylic white to the snow area of the card, and added splatters as well.

The sentiment is stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Green Oasis. I matted the card using Gina K Designs cardstock in the green and blue.

When I did the splatters you can see one of those landed splat in the eye of the birdie - geez eh, what are the chances!

On the inside of the card I added the little Birdie with a bit of the ribbon from the bow hanging out of his mouth. 

The sentiment is once again stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Green Oasis.

This little Birdie has an eye!
