This is "Let It Snow".
My design is a whimsial design which started with this pillow from the Inspiration site. I did not follow exactly the designs done on the pillows, my design is more whimsical!
To start with my card is 4 1/4 square. I did not have black watercolour paper so I painted the background using Daniel Smith Payne's Grey watercolour, applying five layers of paint.
Using Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof White fine art paint I added the trees, along with the stars and some splatters.
I layered the piece which is 4x4 inches with a piece of Neenah white cardstock, then attached it all to a Gina K Designs Black Onyx cardbase.
For the inside I added the white Neenah cardstock along with the die cut sentiment which is double layered, and cut from the Black Onyx cardstock.
I did consider black splatter inside the card, then thought better of it as it would mean waiting for it to dry, which can take quite awhile and I really did not think it would add anything to the design.
So I opted for that Clean and Simple look.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this whimsical card asking for snow, and I have been granted snow. It is snowing outside as I write this up. And it is so peaceful too despite it being 2:30 in the afternoon!
See you next time.
